About CarO – Made by Xtra App Studios

About CarO: CarO is a car maintenance app for iPhone and Android that keeps your service log, oil change and inspection reminders (by mileage or date), fuel log, expenses and trips in one place. It's made by Xtra App Studios, founded by Muneeb Rana.

Why we made CarO

Looking after a car means remembering lots of small things: oil changes, inspections, renewals, what you spent on fuel and what the last repair cost. Most people keep that in their head, a glovebox of receipts or a spreadsheet they forget to update. We wanted one simple app that does it clearly — and, with Premium, for every car in the household.

Our mission

To make car care simple and honest: quick logging, useful reminders by miles or date, clear costs, and guides that cite trusted sources and say plainly what we don't know.

Who we are

Muneeb Rana — Founder of Xtra App Studios. Muneeb builds practical mobile apps used by people every day, including CarO for car maintenance and other free tools for iPhone and Android. He writes the guides on this site, cites primary sources, and keeps claims limited to what the shipped app actually does.

How we keep content accurate

Every guide cites sources such as AAA, NHTSA, FuelEconomy.gov, the IRS, GOV.UK and manufacturer schedules, and shows the date it was last updated. We don't publish invented statistics, ratings or testimonials. Read the editorial policy and our disclaimer.
